FREE Drift Smoke Scripts
Synced FiveM drift smoke: every player sees the same burnout and drift tyre smoke, with FWD/RWD drivetrain distinction, colour sync, and surface-aware generation. Standalone, 0.01ms typical CPU cost.
FREE!
GTA V’s tyre smoke during hard cornering is a single-client visual — other players see nothing, which breaks the illusion completely on any drift-focused or street-racing FiveM server. This drift smoke script makes the effect server-side: everyone nearby sees the same smoke at the same time, tied to the same vehicle, with density and colour that match what the driver is generating.
Synced Smoke That Reads Drivetrain
The script distinguishes between front-wheel and rear-wheel drive vehicles, so burnout smoke emits from the correct axle rather than all four wheels regardless of drivetrain layout. Custom tyre smoke colours sync across all clients — if a vehicle is running a coloured smoke mod, everyone in range sees the same shade. Smoke generation is surface-aware by default, meaning it won’t fire on offroad terrain or surfaces you exclude in config, which prevents the visual from looking wrong in non-paved environments.
Key Features
- Drift and burnout smoke synced for all players in range
- FWD and RWD distinction — smoke from the correct driven wheels
- Custom tyre smoke colour synchronisation across clients
- Surface-aware smoke generation (offroad surfaces excluded by default, configurable)
- Vehicle whitelist for restricting smoke to specific or approved cars
- Adjustable smoke density, alpha, and particle size via config
- Standalone — no ESX or QBCore dependency
- 0.01–0.03ms CPU cost in city traffic; ~0.01ms elsewhere
- Compatible with all stock and modded vehicles
- Approximately 400 lines of code
Configuration
Density, alpha, and particle size are all exposed in a single config file. The vehicle whitelist lets you limit smoke generation to specific cars — useful on roleplay servers where you want drift smoke on performance vehicles only, without it triggering on every civilian car that spins a wheel. Surface exclusion is toggled per terrain type, so gravel, grass, and dirt can be handled independently.
Performance
At 0.01–0.03ms under city conditions — the heaviest load scenario with maximum traffic density — this script is essentially free to run. The particle system ties to vehicle physics events rather than polling on a timer, which keeps the cost flat regardless of player count in the area.
Ideal For
Drift servers, street-racing communities, and any FiveM server that runs custom vehicle packs where the stock single-client tyre smoke looks out of place. At under 400 lines and no framework dependency, it installs in minutes and requires no database setup.

Bro… the smoke makes drifting look like a movie scene.
Riley Thompson –
Dropped it into our QBCore setup and it worked instantly. No errors, no configuration hell. This is the kind of script every server needs.
Jordan Reyes –
Looks great, super easy to configure. Only wish there were a couple more presets for different smoke densities.
Chris Walker –
Good visual effect and no lag. Players loved it during our weekly drift event.
Alex Morgan –
Insane performance. We tested it during a drift meet with 25+ cars and not a single frame drop. Smoke sync is super clean.
